IBM Provides HR2 with Marketing Endorsement, Old American becomes Strategic Marketing Partner through IBM Business Partnership - Accelerates and expands IBM’s products in Human Capital Management Market. - IBM cites patent of Self Customization as key component for small to medium business sector.

Newport Beach, CA/New York, NY—March19th, 2003—Old American, Inc., a financial asset and technology solutions provider, and IBM’s Data Management Division, have launched an aggressive strategic and tactical plan to market IBM’s DB2 web-ready relational database with Old American’s flagship software asset HR2 through IBM Call Centers throughout North America.

Ensuring its DB2’s market penetration, technology affiliate Old American has been selected by IBM as a business partner specializing in HR systems. Endorsing HR2, the innovative recruitment to retirement application suite, IBM has made a commitment to strategically align HR2 with DB2 users and will work closely with Old American to market the patent successful human resource product.

HR2 is a comprehensive software application suite that helps increase shareholder value for businesses small and large by providing best practice science in the area of human resources.

“IBM has discovered HR2’s future value in the affordability of the enterprise that provides small to mid-sized companies with continuity initiatives and resources for implementing enterprise-wide human capital management business solutions --at a fraction of the price associated with other leading software providers including those servicing large corporations,” comments Old American’s CEO Joseph Rodriguez II.

Human Capital Management is increasingly becoming an intrinsic and strategic part of corporate administration. As Business-to-Employee engagement models become more relevant in a market that fights for limited talent availability, human capital management today has evolved into a complete development plan supported by technology to manage the entire lifecycle from recruitment-to-retirement.

After careful scrutiny and review of available database technology, Old American and India based developer SamTech InfoNet, LTD were convinced that DB2 was the ideal database and warehousing technology. The robust platform provides scalable CRM solutions, ERP integrations and e-commerce applications allowing customers to compete effectively in today’s rapidly changing business environment through its ROI and flexibility. DB2 is a database solution that can handle the diversity required and demanded in the integration of software platforms and is said to be the first multimedia, web-ready relational database management system strong and flexible enough to meet the demands of small and medium sized businesses. Its powerful customer service engine runs on UNIX, LINUX and Windows Environments and provides Data Management and Warehouse Enhancements that integrate and combine multiple data modules and sources.

“DB2 is truly priced to support the full spectrum of small to medium business—cost of ownership parameters,” explains Rodriguez.
