Newport
Beach, CA – September 8th, 2004—Old American,
Inc., an international technology asset and application solutions
provider, announces the release of DataDRONE3 for ORACLE,
an innovative, automated software solution set that structures
and migrates Informix based IDS 7x/9x server programs for
full use in ORACLE 9I and 10G Enterprise environments.
Many growing businesses share a common dilemma: their most
valuable corporate assets—their business data and programs
are often contained in proprietary systems. “Maximizing
an organization’s productivity depends on preserving
the real time and custom fit information system into an era
of platform and database changes”, comments Old American
President Joseph Rodriguez II. To help you with that process,
DataDrone3’s Informix Specific source tools offer a
comprehensive migration strategy enabling adaptation of rules
and forms by the ORACLE target relational model (including
9i and 10G), including compatibility with PL/SQL.
DataDrone3 assembles your specific data requirements, maps
them to your existing data sources, and unites your data using
DataDrone3’s powerful data import methods. Services
are also available from Old American to cleanse data, effectively
eliminating duplicate or redundant data points.
DataDrone3 is a completely automated solution for customers
who want to deploy their complex business logic written in
Informix IDS to ORACLE database(s) using Java. DataDrone3
now migrates Informix IDS to both server-side PL/SQL and Oracle
SQL code into compliant SQL respectively as well as generates
all of the necessary interfaces required to deploy with the
other databases.
“Customers have always faced the enormous manual effort
required to migrate their large, complex, proprietary applications
into a flexible architecture before they can leverage their
data resources. DataDrone3effectively and expeditiously impedes
the process of migrating an entire software portfolio into
Oracle PL/SQL,” comments Old American President Joseph
Rodriguez II.
